Fire Victims

Fire Victims

In 2010, I visited the Muradymovo Gorge for the first time. A couple of weeks before my arrival, it suffered from a severe fire. As a result, the western slope was almost completely burnt out. I returned there eight years later. The nature was able to recover itself. Young trees were growing up, and grass was knee-deep. It would seem that nothing reminded the once happened tragedy. But among the greenery, throughout the plateau, the forest was dead. Trees which did not survive the fire gone by were dried up and crooked as if reminding a dramatic human error.
